Technical Wood

Vietnam has a long-standing tradition of producing traditional wooden furniture and the expertise has helped Viet Nam to grow fast into a major exporter for internationally traded modern wood furniture. Export of wood products reached 9 billion USD in 2018. In order to assist the sector’s BSOs and get their members (80% in the furniture sector) on board for a more sustainable approach to the market, the promotion for the wood sector in Viet Nam will be supported through both the Technical Wood and outdoor furniture sub-sectors.
