InCosmetics: Natural is Back

Latest trends

Buyers and sellers of the industry, specialists in R & D and formulators, gathered to follow the latest trends in skin care, hair care and cosmetics, leaving evidence that this industry is betting more and more on natural ingredients and sustainability.

More and more people choose an ecological, sustainable and healthy lifestyle and that is how the "natural" is back, particularly in the field of cosmetics. For this reason, companies are taking the leap towards a new trend: natural cosmetics, which combines natural products, respectful of the body and the environment. A trend that is accompanied by a greater demand for organic certifications, corporate social responsibility and sustainability.

Ingredients of natural origin, vegetable and essential oils, extracts of plants, fruits, butter, waxes and perfumes extracted directly from nature, gain more relevance before an audience that reads more and more the labels of products in search of the natural and of sustainability. This new scenario opens a great opportunity for countries that have a wide biodiversity. Colombia is listed as the second most biodiverse country in the world, with more than 45,000 species of plants, 1,500 of which are endemic species. This explains the progressive development of the cosmetic industry based on natural ingredients.
